YJ OC - Klaxon

I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing.   

But I just wanted to do something nice for my friend Thot-Shop, who's been super-sweet to me and going through some harsh times. Since I know how much she loves her OCs and gets excited to host contests, I thought I'd give back and participate with something. Hopefully he's okay. I was inspired after seeing Dravina's badass looking YJ OC, Bine (even though she could probably kick his butt xD).

This was a challenge, though. XD Full-body art, design my own wardrobe, and a bio. I don't OC traditionally or roleplay, and have never needed bios. So I just used the stats profile I saw at the DC Comics Wikipedia, then threw in some others to make it more personal. Not that stats are ever personal or show character depth, and I know my OCs are boring to begin with... but hopefully he's at least interesting? Not by direct intention, he does lean more towards season two, yet I left a lot open (whether blank or just open to interpretation) because Bine doesn't have a bio up for me to match.
So yeah, hope you like him Dravina.

Kaz is not necessarily "good" or "bad", but his part-time job as a "runner" for Warehouse 13 is questionable; he locates and recruits those with super-human abilities.


Powers and Abilities:
 Mediumship (both Mental and Physical)

Despite his grandmother being a Louisiana Voodoo Queen and trying to teach him the religion, Kaz barely dedicates himself to the Voodoo cult and is only a second-rate Hoodoo Conjure Man; he has little chance in making gris-gris and folk-magic a career. He is, however, a practiced Medium, communing since he was small, and gets along better with spirits than the living. His spiritual guide is a small boy named Kamen—who can be a bit of a handful; Kaz has learned to stay quiet and take responsibility for Kamen's tantrums.

Kaz has no meta-gene himself, however, people often think he has some form of superpowers due to the [haphazard or instructed] chaos his ghosts can inflict on the mundane plane (ie. things flying around as if through "telekinesis"). In rare times of action, he is a strong enough summoner to call out more aggressive poltergeists to handle his fights for him, though the violent ones are often hard to dispel. He can also be a Vessel (he has never been demonically possessed... that he can remember...).

 He is often blaring music through headphones when he wants some "alone time", to drown out the voices of the ghosts around him, who sometimes communicate just as glaringly via EVP regardless. This, rather jokingly, earned him the nickname Klaxon, because "it's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for".

 He shops online at Hot Topic and Angry, Young, And Poor. (LOL)


Throwbacks! Because I love 'em. 
 Kaz and his parents' names are a nod to some well-known and historical "ghost ships".
 Kamen was created as a variation of the name Kemen, from Kemenche, Eastern Mediterrean stringed instruments. Strings because "Bine" is the name for the curling, gripping tendrils (strings) on a climbing plant.
 Pops of red throughout his wardrobe are a throwback to M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, wherein the color was used as a symbolic clue.
 Arm sleeve tattoos are my tribute to S4 Ink Master winner Scott Marshall, who sadly passed away on October 27^th 2015, at the young age of 41. (R.I.P.)
